S3
is a powerful software platform for data capture and
development that requires no cables or hardware; an
industry first software package that offers the ability
to capture and decode data being sent to and from your
PC and any PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) or
RTUs (Remote Terminal Unit) without interference or
modification to existing operation software or hardware.
S3
is a software-only package that will actively communicate
with any serial devices or drivers, including serial
ports, internal modems, infrared ports, and RS-232/422/485
communications cards. S3
offers the ability to decode data and stream through
a modem or network to the Internet using TCP/IP, PPP
or SLIP connections on a single user, gateway or network
machine.
Other protocol analyzers may require you to use proprietary
hardware or an additional computer with extra com ports
to analyze the data. This is not only tideous and time
consuming but also disrupts your original setup. You
can use S3
without any of these requirements.
In circumstances where you must monitor more than one
com port, you will be required to purchase additional
hardware or even an additional hardware analyzer. With
S3
you can open as many com ports simultaneously at just
a few mouse clicks.
Usually hardware analyzers cannot support the internal
modem which comes with your laptop, so you may be required
to purchase and carry a special modem. All of this takes
extra space, extra setup time, and extra money, whereas
S3
readily works with your internal modems.
Data Capture
• Data captured includes data bytes, control signals
and error conditions. Data can be captured to RAM and
direct to disk with no file size limit.
Data Log
• Display characters in HEX; include timestamp, controls
signals and errors.
Data Transmission
• Transmit strings or files once, multiple times or
continuously. Insert delays in millisecond, second or
minute increments.
Protocol Decodes
• PPP, SLIP, TCP/IP |
