• Reviews and take responsibility for the programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), PC-based Human-Machine-Interface stations, DCS, SCADA &/or other control systems, testing schedules and field support and document creation. Documentation includes all relevant wiring diagrams, panel layouts, material component descriptions, system bill of materials, PLC ladder logic and other supporting documentation;
  
  
• Trouble-shoot and solve problems in control and instrumentation;
  
  
• Standardization of preventive maintenance plans which include collecting and reviewing engineering data and field experiences data.
  
  
• Conduct assessment studies of other new treatment facilities where required and to develop the relevant technical proposals;
  
  
• Recommend industrial process instrumentation such as control valves, pressure and temperature monitoring devices, flow meters and level gauges;
  
  
• Design and develop new control systems, which include the sizing of instruments, control valves and pressure relief devices;
  
  
• Ensure the correct installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of new equipment which include project management and coordination of the instrumentation aspects of capital and refurbishment projects on behalf of project engineers and managers, developing a thorough understanding of these projects from a Control Systems perspective (equipment, design and specifications). This includes provision of field support i.e. engineering support of the workshop during installation wiring and testing and supporting the service technicians during start-up and commissioning.
  
  
• Formulate and implement Disaster Recovery Plans for all the control systems;
  
  
• Devise and conduct relevant training programs to equip and enhance the skills of new and existing Scada operators and other relevant personnel;
   
• Together with IT Systems Administrator/Manager, develop new innovative technologies to streamline and add value to the operations; and
   
• Undertake any other duties as appropriate within area of competence, as required by the Company from time to time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation or Information Technology.
• Fully competent in PC/PLC/SCADA program for water treatment plants, with minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge in different kind of SCADA System such as Citect and Wonderware.
• Team leader with excellent communication skills, self-motivated and able to solve problems independently.
