• Loop checking on centralized I/O PLC systems
  
  
• Set-up, calibration and troubleshooting of temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, level, density, viscosity, pH, conductivity, analyzers and control valves.
  
  
• Commissioning on distributed PLC I/O systems e.g. Allen Bradley SLCs PLC, Siemens PLC5, PLC7, Omron C200H.
  
  
• I/O wiring and addressing systems, I/O card test and change-out, processor change-out.
  
  
• Standby during start up on specific systems.
  
  
• To restore utilities equipment to normal function after unplanned breakdown.
  
  
• To assist in ensuring that the stock levels of all spare parts are kept to specified quantities.
  
  
• To be familiar with all production processes and procedures
  
  
• Must be responsible for reading, understanding and following all relevant procedures for Health and Safety
  
  
• Full on site vendor training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Diploma / Degree in Automation & Controls or a Diploma / Degree in Applied Physics & Instrumentation.

Ideally, candidates should have six months experience in the relevant field, however training will be provided.

Ideally, candidates should have some experience of the following:

• Full Distributed PLC & DCS Control Systems.
• All process field Instrumentation
• Calibration Experience
• Commissioning
• Loop checking & troubleshooting
